Usually clean and a nice enough atmosphere. Most bar staff are nice enough but a few have major attitude issues, which is very off-putting in what is an otherwise a decent pub.

Visiting Winchester Hospital, this is a good place for a beer while I wait for an elderly uncle, their lunch deal until 4 pm is extremely good value, a drink and sandwich or jacket spud, £5.49.

It's not a bad place but during the evening it will get packed with students and sports worshippers. Visit here at off-peak times. It's a Greene King pub so drinks are a bit more and less varied than Wetherspoons.
